Nokia 7.1 smartphone to launch in India next month


NEW DELHI: HMD Global the company which hold the license to manufacture Nokia-branded smartphones recently launched its Nokia 7.1 smartphone in the UK region. Now it seems that the company is all gearing up for the India launch of the smartphone. According to a report by 91 Mobiles, HMD Global might launch the Nokia 7.1 in India in early November. The report also suggests that the smartphone will come under the price bracket of Rs 30,000.

For those unaware, the Nokia 7.1 comes with Pure Display technology. The company claims that the technology improves the the viewing experience with better contrast ratio (1,000,000:1), more clarity and showing ‘enhanced’ colours. The smartphone also supports HDR10 content.

The Nokia 7.1 features a 5.84-inch full HD+ display with 1080×2280 pixel resolution with 19:9 aspect ratio. The smartphone comes with an iPhone X-like notch screen which is protected with a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass on top.

The handset is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 processor and run Android 8.1 Oreo operating system. The smartphone comes in two variants — 3GB RAM+32GB storage and 4GB RAM+64GB storage. The users can further expand the storage up to 400GB by adding a microSD card.

The device smartphone houses a dual rear camera setup with 12MP autofocus sensor with 1.2um pixel size and f/1.8 aperture and a 5MP monochrome sensor with f/2.4 aperture and 1.12um pixel size. Both are powered by ZEISS Optics. At the front, there is an AI-based 8MP sensor with f2.0 aperture and 84-degree field of view.

The smartphone offers 4G, VoLTE, 3G, WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, USB OTG, USB Type C as connectivity options and is backed by a 3,060 mAh battery with fast charging support.
